Like many fo these German guns, Omega's were made in the 60's by the Gerstenberger & Eberwein Co. in what was then West Germany. The ones I have seen appear to be similar to the RG models, but better made. I am currently working on one (or supposed to be) for a friend. I've had it for several months and just haven't gotten to it. I'm not familiar with the model 220.
See if your guns is one of these:http://www.e-gunparts.com/model.asp?idDept=185 Spring appear to bein stock.
Look at the schematic in our TEch section: If the spring in your Omega looks an RG spring, try Bob's Gun Parts. http://www.gun-parts.com/rohm/ _________________ "... laws were most numerous when the commonwealth was most corrupt." -- Tacitus |

here is a link to the picture of the actual gun , if i can figure out how to insert an image i will post a pic of the spring, i tried bending the spring out but it only kept it running for a little while, does anybody have an idea on how to keep a spring stretched out? i have been told that heating it till it turns red then dipping it in used motor oil will give it its life back. Thanks for all the help everybody. http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=9110032

Tempering it might work. Worth a try before you order a new one. _________________ "... laws were most numerous when the commonwealth was most corrupt." -- Tacitus |

You have been told correctly...this often works, but is more of an art than a science, so give it a try, but do not be surprised if it does not work. Heat the spring to red (don't overheat), put in room temp oil until "sizzling stops" then reheat just to burn the oil off, the place in cool water. _________________ The JA22 saga ended at 14,068 rounds on 11/19/09 RIP

Also: I highly recommend you do this outdoors. The oil will smoke something awful. _________________ "... laws were most numerous when the commonwealth was most corrupt." -- Tacitus |
