See how well it turns out. Looks good.

Funny thing is, when I was living in San Diego I went into the pawnshop selling this a couple of times, I had Washington ID so I couldn't buy a gun there though. IIRC they were trying to sell a plastic Olin flare pistol for like $50 or so. Which is funny you can get them *much* cheaper than that at West Marine and with flares to boot.

Please keep us posted. The RG's are so cool...this is the first 40 I have seen in a LONG time.

I'm gonna keep my J-22, but beyond that I think I'm done with autoloading SNS'. Gonna concentrate on the RG's and other imported revolvers.

Be sure to check your RG's out very closley before you buy. They shoot well, but often the timing is off due to bad springs or worn ratchets. Just like SNS auto loaders they have a place for self defense, but don't last long as plinkers.

Got the thing recently. And I'm pissed. Ad claimed "steel frame" and "excellent" bore. Zamac frame, and the bore cleaned up excellent after I scrubbed the rust out of it. I'm probably gonna sell the dang thing just out of annoyance.

Yeah, I traded it for a 1947 Mossberg 46M(b) with a two piece mannlicher stock of curly maple, and an old Weaver scope.

Sounds like it turned out well for you. I love how the trigger pull is adjustable on the 46M model. It's one of the great 22LR's out there, IMHO. I had a "Sears" version growing up that was passed down from my dad (Sadly, one of many guns stolen some years back). In fact, I believe they used the same number, but called it the Sears Model 46.

It goes well with my 44US(c). The stock was cracked, and somebody had carved their initials into the bottom of the pistol grip. So I let a cabinet maker friend of mine take it home, and he's totally repaired and refinished the stock for me, and will do the walnut one on on my 44US next.
