If you get it at your price, I would say "Well bought!." _________________ Can a JA22 last 10K rounds? Mine did!

Well, I got beat by a dollar. That was surprising because several people had just bid on it right before I last checked it yesterday. I thought that a bidding war would push the price way past what I put as the max. Oh well, the nearly new P95 with two factory mags is showing as still available in Lexington. Tommorrow I'm going to go pick it up if its still there (fingers crossed). Thats actually a better deal, a pistol thats at least 10 years newer with the original case and two 15 round mags for just slightly more than an older one with one 10 round mag which may have lived a hard life. _________________ A flowing river of illusion

Well, the new/used P95 is now on layaway. I examined it and it doesn't seem to have been fired a whole lot. The clerk wouldn't let me field strip it, but I saw enough to be satisfied that its in good condition. I do feel better buying this recent production gun for just a little bit more than an older one of unknown origin.
My sister went with me and she ended up buying a Walther P22. She is the one that got me thinking about P95's as I have fired hers and really liked it. I recommended the P22 to her because the controls are similar to the P95 she has and the sight picture is the same. _________________ A flowing river of illusion

Hey, if you can part with one of your J-22's, maybe your sister can join the forum (and keep an eye on you at the same time)!
Hope the Ruger is a winner, Ferg. _________________ Maine. A subsidiary of China. |

I hope so too. It sure feels like a more expensive gun to me. _________________ A flowing river of illusion

Thanks. I decided to give Jeff Lynne a break and let the assault plunger take over. _________________ A flowing river of illusion

Hey Ferg, thought I'd show you this in case you were considering "customizing" your P95. This looks to be a de cock only slide, although I'm not sure how well the fit would be. Seems like this part could be had for fairly cheap and make a neat little project.
I check in on this seller from time to time, he always has good deals on parts. Check out some of his other auctions other p95 parts if you have any interest.
You may or may not be interested, when I seen this slide I thought of you so I figuered I'd post it for you.

the last time i was looking at P95 parts kits was about 2 years ago. complete slides like that were going for $60 each plus shipping of $15.
looks like a good deal as long as the bidding price stays low. _________________

Thanks, Detroiter. Those parts are on my watchlist, I haven't bid on them because I may be having some real world expenses coming up soon. I have already acquired two mags for the P95, however. This is pretty bad: the gun is not even out of layaway and I'm already scrounging parts and mags. _________________ A flowing river of illusion
